החברה פירסמה אתמול (02.03.11) כי העדכון ישוחרר כבר בשבוע הבא.

למי שלא מכיר, Angry Birds Rio הוא משחק נוסף של החברה Rovio אשר הוציאה בדצמבר 2009 את המשחק הראשון: Angry Birds שתפס מקום ראשון בהורדות בכל העולם.
לאחר הצלחתו המסחררת של המשחק הראשון, באוקטובר 2010 הוציאה החברה משחק נוסף בשם Angry Birds Seasons אשר יצא כמהדורה מיוחדת לכבוד ליל הקדושים בהמשך חג המולד, יום האהבה, יום סיינט פטריק והשחרור האחרון, חג הפסחא.
בנוסף לשתי המשחקים המעולים הללו, במרץ 2011 יצא המשחק Angry Birds Rio כמקדם לסרט "Rio" שיצא באפריל 2011. המשחק שינה תפיסה בכך שבמקום לתקוף חזירים, המטרה בפרק הראשון היא לשחרר כלובים של ציפורים אקזוטיות ובפרק השני לתקוף Marmosests (זן של קופים מהסרט). כמובן שנוספה ציפור חדשה למשחק.
